As young girls use social media and the internet more and more in this digital age, issues like cyber hygiene, cyber security, and cyberbullying become more and more significant. Girls need to know what precautions they can take to safeguard their digital footprints. W/Dr. Manpreet Kaur, President Arvinder Singh of the Umang Welfare Foundation, Program Coordinator Dr. Gaganpreet Kaur, and other Team members have guided Sant Kabir College in organizing an interactive session centered around this idea. Data theft, digital fraud, cloning, hacking, cyberbullying, fishing, and grooming were among the terms taught to college girls. A ton of case studies were also given to the students, which allayed some of their concerns about data security and privacy. Calling the assembly to order, he continued by providing some advice on secure online transactions and online banking. After saying, “We should use the internet responsibly because it’s a technology, not a toy,” he ended the presentation by giving the URL for reporting cybercrimes. Consolation prizes were also given out by the team members and the school’s principal to those who finished the last cyber hygiene test of the session.
