In this digital world, where children, Youngster are increasingly wired to social media and the internet, the concerns of cyber security, cyber bullying, cyber hygiene are pertinent. Parents too need to be well-informed of what steps they can take to keep their children safe. With this notion, In Goverment mahindra College hosted an interactive session under the Guidance of W/College Principal Dr.Simrat Kaur ,HOD Computer Department Prof. Ms. Meenakshi, Umang Welfare Foundation President Arvinder Singh and Sr. Vice President Anurag Acharya (Cyber Security Expert Presided this Event.The First Years students were introduced to various terminologies like Cyber Bullying, Hacking, Fishing, Cloning, Data Theft, Digital Frauds and Grooming. Several case studies were also shared with the students and they were further sanitized towards privacy and security of data. He concluded the session by sharing some tips for internet banking and safe online transactions. He also shared the website for reporting Cyber Crimes.
